The Animal Emergency Hospital of Central CT is an extension of the referring veterinarian. We work collaboratively with each referring veterinarian and customize care for each patient for a seamless transition of care. Referring to the Animal Emergency Hospital of Central CT is your way of ensuring your client’s pet receives around the clock monitoring. Dr. Jason Haviar, Dr. Chris Gargamelli and Dr. Callie Tatro are surgeons and can perform surgery at that time it is needed. When stable enough for travel, the patient will be discharged back to the referring veterinarian with all necessary records, digital radiographs and medications. A faxed copy of the treatment report will also be sent. At the time of discharge all clients are advised to follow up with their veterinarian.
Referral Visits to the Animal Emergency Hospital of Central CT
If you are recommending that your client and their pet need to come to the Animal Emergency Hospital, please call ahead when possible to allow our staff to prepare their arrival. If before 5:30pm please call the Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill at 860-563-1027 , after 5:30 call 860-563-4447. We may also suggest immediate measures as well as precautions to take while your client is handling the sick or injured pet until they arrive at our facility. Our staff will triage all patients within two minutes. When the pet is admitted the client will be given a treatment plan with associated cost customized for their needs. The Animal Emergency Hospital of Central CT does accept Care Credit.
Overnight Monitoring Package
We are pleased to offer an affordable overnight monitoring package. This package is designed for stable patients that you feel would benefit from the advantage of overnight care by our doctor and technicians.
This package includes:
- Overnight hospitalization
- 1-2 bags of IV fluids
- 2-3 pain control injections
- 2-3 additional injections
- 1 PCV/TS
- All associated hospital fees (medical waste, IV pump)
Prior to transferring a case, please consult with one of our ER doctors as this fee is based on the doctor’s discretion. For patients requiring additional or more intensive care, the owner will be given a medical plan explaining all costs. Please call our staff for pricing.
Reorder Magnets and Brochures
The Animal Emergency Hospital of Central CT sends out its magnets and brochures the first week of each month to all our referral partners. If your hospital needs additional client materials, please contact us and we will get them mailed out with in twenty four hours.
